A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday for the American Heart Association's new offices in the Utica Business Park.

"All of us are excited to continue the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association in our new space," said Jennifer Balog, executive director of the Greater Utica American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. "We will continue to strive to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke, and hope all of our volunteers and supporters are able to join us to celebrate the new space that will be our home."

Four areas are being named for volunteers who have made significant contributions to the mission of the American Heart Association.

The conference room will be named for Jim Stasaitis, who has served as the chair of America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk for more than 20 years.
