Capitals Take Game 6, Tie Series 3-3

If the Rangers are going to advance to the next round, they're going to have to win another Game 7.

The Capitals won at home on Wednesday night, 2-1, to force Game 7 at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night (7:30).

Alex Ovechkin got his fifth goal of the playoffs, with a power play score in first period. Jason Chimera made it 2-0 Washington with a score in the second, his fourth of the postseason.

New York lone goal came from Marion Gaborik - his fourth- with under a minute to play in regulation.

Henrik Lundqvist had 21 saves. Braden Holtby made 30.
