The Griffiss International Airport in Rome is receiving more funding to assist with much needed infrastructure improvements.

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney announced Wednesday she helped secure $369,000 in grants for Griffiss.

These federal funds will be used for reconstruction of the runway. The funding comes from The Department of Transportation.

Tenney says, "I will continue my strong advocacy and continue to deliver the resources our region needs to repair and upgrade our outdated infrastructure."

This funding is in additon to just over $7.5 million Tenney secured in June 2018.
