How to Give to WIBX, ERL Intermodal Hurricane Dorian Relief
WIBX and ERL Intermodal are holding a supply drive on Thursday to benefit victims of Hurricane Dorian in the Carolinas and the Bahamas. The event will run until 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Hannaford on Commercial Drive in New Hartford. The first truck was nearly filled at around noon, and a second truck was brought in to keep collecting.
How to Give?
Supplies can be dropped off at our Hannaford location in New Hartford on Thursday, September 12th from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.; an ERL tractor trailer will be on hand to collect
and ultimately ship to the disaster areas.
Checks will also be accepted and should be made out to Jezreel International, which is a 501C3 organization that will distribute the donations. All donations are tax deductible.
What Items are Needed?
Items needed include: Water, non-perishable food, baby supplies (diapers, formula, wipes), cleaning supplies (bleach, mops, brooms, pine sol, masks, sponges, disinfectants), unused blankets, mosquito nets, cots, flashlights, batteries, deet-free bug repellent, hygiene items (tissue, toothpaste, toothbrush, towels, soap, sanitary napkins), new socks and underwear, new clothes, paper products (toilet paper and paper towels), rubber gloves, trash bags, shovels, plastic sheeting, chain saws, cooking utensils, disposable plates, cups, forks, spoons, portable radios, and first aid items such as bandages.
