Many are still digging out from the snowfall dropped on Central New York. The highways and city streets once littered with abandoned vehicles are finally beginning to be cleared again. Just days ago it was a different story.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 14th, 2017 to the following morning Winter Storm Stella dropped over 40" of snow in some parts of New York State. In Central New York the snow came down at such a rapid rate, that some were forced to leave their vehicles on the side of the road.

Peter Angelini is a local man who decided once the storm settled to get his drone out and take some footage above his neighborhood in New Hartford. You can see that footage in the video above. Though this aerial view may not seem like much, you can really get the idea of how deep the snow is from looking at the perspective of where the windows are in relation to the snow.

Some argue this was not the worst storm to ever hit Central New York, but there is no doubt that Winter Storm 'Stella' is in the running for one of the worst.
