Whitesboro voters who turned out on Monday evening overwhelming stand behind the village's controversial seal.

Officials say of the 220 votes cast, 157 were in support of current seal which has drawn broad criticism in its depiction of village founder Hugh White wrestling with an Native American (pictured above). To put it bluntly, many are saying it looks like White is choking an Indian.

The reality is the seal shows a friendly wrestling match between the two, village officials say.
