Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul paid a visit to Rome on Monday.

Hochul toured the Air Force Research Lab with local officials, including Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, Senator Joseph Griffo, Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi and Rome Mayor Jacqueline Izzo.

She says not only is it a point of pride in New York to have cutting edge research being done right here in Rome, but it's also about the creation of good paying jobs in the STEM field.

Hochul also spoke at the opening of the Beacon Center Opioid Treatment Program Facility on West Liberty Street.
