Port Leyden Man Arrested For Having Sexual Contact With A Child

A Port Leyden man has been arrested on child pornography and other charges.

State Police say 32-year old Shawn Pignone allegedly had sexual contact with a victim under 11 years old and possessed a large amount of images consistent with child pornography on his personal computer.

Pignone is charged with promoting and possessing a sexual performance of a child, course of sexual conduct against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was arraigned in the Town of Lyonsdale Court and sent to the Lewis County Jail on $15,000 cash bail.

State Police were assisted by the US Marshal Service.
