Record Fiscal Year At Vernon Downs

t was a record year for the Vernon Downs Casino for the fiscal year ending March 31st.

Vernon Down is reporting gaming revenues of 43-point-6 million dollars, an increase of one-percent over the previous year.

Officials say more than $15 million was generated for education during the period, the highest produced since Vernon opened its gaming floor in 2006.

Vernon Downs Casino produced $29.2 million for local governments, including $2.6 million for Oneida, $1.2 million for the Town of Vernon and a $1.4 million VVS School tax.

Meanwhile, the track also generated $4.3 million for the racing industry.
