Saranac Introduces New Haus Lager

The FX Matt Brewery is introducing its newest addition to the family -- Haus Lager.

The recipe was created by FX Matt in the late 1880s.  His light-bodied lager recipe was the house beer exclusively for Matt family members and Brewery employees to enjoy during and after work.

Haus Lager is a traditional German-style Helles, golden in color, light-bodied and a mildly sweet lager with a low bitterness.

It will be sold in 16 ounces cans and in 6 pack cans.

This marks the first time in the company's 129 year history that the treasured family recipe has been made available to the public.
