Recent graduates from Rome Free Academy discovered something not quite right with their diplomas over the weekend.

The Rome School District is aware of the error made by the vendor who prints the diplomas and has released a statement on the matter via their Facebook page.

The misprint occurred on the line that reads, "Given at Roma, New York this 24th Day of June." According to the Rome Sentinel Superintendent Peter Blake said,

A simple typo doesn’t diminish the day and the legacy that these students leave at RFA. I am proud of each and every one of them and look forward to great things they are going to do with their lives.

The vendor will be covering the cost for misprints and students will receive the updated diplomas in the mail.
