Traffic Restrictions In Place For Wengert Funeral

The Utica Police Department is announcing traffic restrictions for the funeral of Rochester PD Investigator Nolan Wengert.

Wengert's funeral will take place Wednesday morning starting at 11:00 at the Stanley Theater.

Genesee Street  will be closed to traffic from Court and Hopper Streets to Cornelia Place and South Street from 8:00 a.m until the end of the funeral at around 12:30 or 1:00.

Parking restrictions in that area will be in effect starting at 5:00 a.m.

Businesses that will be affected by the funeral will be notified.

There are no restrictions in place for the wake, which is being held from 3:00 to 7:00 on Tuesday.

The 32 -year old Wengert, who was a Clayville native, died at his home on April 9th.
