The United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area has a new Executive Director and CEO.

Erin Gutierrez Matt has been named to the post.

“We are very happy to have Erin joining us. She brings a wealth of leadership, customer service, strategic planning, and marketing experience to this role,” said Dr. Cathleen McColgin, United Way board president. “We have the upmost confidence that she is well situated to advance the work of our United Way.”

Matt most recently spent over six years in advertising sales at Twitter and Oracle.

She'll begin her new role on March 21st.

In a statement Matt said, "I look forward to joining United Way's extensive team of staff, donors, partners and board to continue the great, impactful work being done to better this community. Together, we will achieve new heights."

Matt takes over for Brenda Episcopo, who left in November to become President and CEO at the United Way of New York State.

Former Boilermaker President Tim Reed had been serving as interim director.
