Utica, NY (WIBX) -A convicted rapist who disappeared from the eye of law enforcement in Utica last month has turned up.

Police say he's been apprehended in Pennsylvania. And, they say he was driving the vehicle of a local woman who was found dead last week.

Robert Blainey, 45, was located during a traffic stop in Montoursville P.A. at around 6:30 Monday evening, police said. Blainey was stopped while driving the vehicle of 68-year-old Linda Turner, whose death last week at the Davis Motel was ruled a homicide by police.

Last month, Utica police sent out an alert to the public warning that Blainey, who lived on Rutger Street, failed to report to his parole officer for several weeks.
