Utica Man Arrested On Robbery, Strangulation Charges

A Utica man is facing robbery and strangulation charges stemming from an incident at the Obilston apartments in early June.

Utica police say Benito Rodriguez, 40 of Arnold Ave, Utica allegedly grabbed a 21 year old man from behind and choked him before taking an envelope with $5,000 in cash from the victim's pocket.

Rodriguez was arrested yesterday in Utica and will answer the charges at a later date.
