Watertown Couple Facing 136 Animal Cruelty Charges
Two Watertown residents are facing dozens of animal cruelty charges.
State Police executed a search warrant at a Jefferson County farm on Thursday.
Veterinarians evaluated over 140 animals and removed 54 animals from the site and placed them in temporary care.
55-year old Leroy Burnham and 65-year old Joanne Armstrong are each charged with 68 counts of animal cruelty.
The two were being investigated for months after a tipster called the County Animal Cruelty Task Force to report underfed animals.
