London, England (WIBX) - The folks at the headquarters of Guinness World Records are promoting the 2013 Guinness Book of World Records by highlighting a meeting of the world's smallest man and the world's smallest woman.

Chandra Bahadur Dangi, of Nepal, is seventy-two years young, and recognized as the world's smallest man.  The world's shortest woman is 18-year old Jyoti Amge of India.  Dangi stands 21-and-a-half inches tall next to Amge's 24 inches.

In photos the pair appear with Marco Frigatti, the "Official Guinness World Records Adjudicator."  It is the first time in history that the world's smallest woman and man have been known to have met one another.

The 2013 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records is the fifty-seventh printing of the internationally-known work.  The book itself, published since 1955, holds the distinction of being the "world's best-selling copyright book."
