Cazenovia Man In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Truck

Morrisville, NY (WIBX) - A Cazenovia man is in critical condition after State Police in Morrisville say he was struck by a vehicle.

According to troopers, James Hotaling was driving west on Route 20 last night around 6:35, when he stopped to make a turn onto Reservoir Road, in Morrisville.

He failed to see 30 year-old Edward Wasilewski, who was wearing dark clothing and riding his skateboard eastbound along Route 20. As Hotaling turned, Wasilewski struck the passenger side of his truck and was thrown.

Wasilewski was treated at the scene by the Morrisville Fire Department, then air lifted to Upstate Hospital by Onondaga County Air One. A passenger in the truck also received minor injuries and was taken to Community Memorial Hospital.

No tickets have been issued, though the investigation is continuing.
