Darrelle Revis has been cut loose by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to reports.

After being acquired via trade from the Jets, Tampa signed him to a six-year $94 million contract but only played a year with the 'Bucs.

Revis was owed $1.5 million by Thursday (3/13/14) and ridding the books of his contract Tampa saves $16 million in cap room and more than $75 million over the next five-years.

I have to ask this...then, why sign him to six-years in the first place?

The rumor mill projects Revis ends up in New England where the Patriots are looking to replace Aquib Talib - now a Denver Bronco.
