What the Buffalo native and Chicago Blackhawk said during an interview was incredibly blunt.

Patrick Kane is a 1st ballot hall of fame NFL superstar. A product of South Buffalo, the 33-year-old is on the backside of his career, but certainly not playing like it. Last year on a struggling Blackhawks team he put up 92 points in 76 games.

As he is older (for an NHL player), rumours have been swirling that he may be traded by Chicago to a potential cup contender. Many also wonder if the Buffalo Sabre,s who seem to be finally pulling things together after a strong finish last year, might also be interested in bringing Kane back to his hometown to play. That is probably l;y not likely, unless the Sabres go on a good run and a mid-season trade happens, as Kane would understandably want to go to a cup contender. The Sabres probably are not there yet.

One team that could benefit from his services are the Sabres' rival, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Despite having a stacked roster on paper, they cannot get past the 1st round of the NHL playoffs. TSN radio had Kane on to ask him about potential trades and where he would like to end up, and his answer was a deep burn for the Leafs and their fans.

OUCH. Get some ice because that burn is deep. Clearly, Kane has no interest in Toronto. It will be interesting to see where he ends up this season.
