The largest steam turbine ever shipped made it's way through Waterville, New York and Brian Staring was there to capture it's trip.

The 375,000-pound turbine is on a 225 mile route from the GE plant in Schenectady to Jessup, Pennsylvania, where a power plant is under construction.

Crews worked to lift power lines and traffic lights to allow the 18 foot high turbine enough room to make it through.

DOT spokesman Jim Piccola says the turbine is expected to roll through Homer today and Ithaca Friday.

The steam turbine is the largest ever shipped fully assembled from the Schenectady plant, which makes turbines used around the world.
