Craft Beer of the Week: Excursion from Woodland Brewery
You can have a little beer Excursion by traveling just outside the city of Utica with this week's Craft Beer of the Week.
Woodland Brewery in Marcy, NY has just released a New England-style IPA: Excursion.
Our Better Bear Man John Naegle explains to Keeler in the Morning that this style of craft is sometimes called a 'juice bomb' due to it's oatmeal and hop recipe. The hazy looking brew has a strong citrus aroma; Think Heady Topper from The Alchemist.
Excursion's full mouth feel comes with more than a tint of grapefruit taste and smell, and is 4.7% ABV.
Here's a look at what else you can find on tap at Woodland Brewery.
Naegele joins Keeler in the Morning each Thursday for a toast to the expanding craft beer industry.
