Oneida and Herkimer counties reported fewer than 100 new positive cases combined in the latest numbers out Monday, however, each county did report new virus-related deaths.
It was another day of condolences for Oneida and Herkimer Counties as more deaths were reported today from COVID-19. Six people died in Oneida County and there was one new death in Herkimer County.
In the latest update of coronavirus cases locally, county health officials announced the seven new deaths. Oneida County has now lost 327 residents to the virus - 186 have died since Thanksgiving.
The downward trend of new COVID-19 cases continued in Oneida County in Tuesday's report, however, both Oneida and Herkimer counties both reported deaths linked to the virus.
Mixed COVID-19 news on Monday as both Oneida and Herkimer counties saw new case totals decrease, however the two counties reported a total of 6 local deaths.
